Conversation In Isolation - Meet The Team
Editors: Seraphina Choong, Vineeta Giri and Lisa Hour
We hope that everyone has been staying healthy and safe! Today, we introduce you to Angie- one of our highly dedicated members in the publications team!
·
“Hi, what is your name and what are you
studying?"
Hello my name is Angie. I’m currently in my second year of medicine, and will be mostly based in rural Victoria this year.
·
“Angie, how would you describe yourself in 3
words?"
Christian, quirky & arty-farty
·
“I can see why all our graphics and designs look so
amazing! Can you tell us what made you decide to sign up and help out with
‘Conversation in Isolation’?”
I first read about Convo in Iso in the papers and
with clinical placements being cancelled, I thought that this was a great
opportunity to do my part as a medical student, to help alleviate the
detrimental effects the lockdown had on many vulnerable individuals during
Covid.
·
"I admire your spirit to help out and be of
help! What is your most cherished memory with your community member?"
It would have to be the last time my community
member thanked me for my time after restrictions have eased and my service was
completed.
·
"As your fellow teammate, if we were to meet
{somewhere, sometime} in the future, what would be your favourite coffee order?
Flat white. Chai latte if I am feeling fancy.
·
"Nice, I will shout you a flat white next
time! Next question: If you could have one superhero power, what would that be
and why?"
To be invisible at will (including my clothes,
glasses, beanies etc) – great for pulling pranks on people
·
"Haha, hope you won't pull any pranks on me! Last question: What do you like to do in your free time when you
are not helping out others or studying?"
Drawing 100%. Have been painting with gouache and it’s
great.
